Another Essay in Systematic Theology

by Daniel Roy Bloomquist S.T.D. (Honorary Doctor of Sacred Theology)

A few big names of the past have fascinated me, such as Johnny Carson (perky and well-postured monologue wit of Tonight Show fame)....and both Alfred Hitcock and Rod Serling.

Lamentably, I have a gut feeling that all three are in Hades awaiting negative sentencing to everlasting seclusion suspended within tormenting invisible flames in eternal outer darkness.

Why Johnny? Did he not perform admirably to entertain and enlighten his massive and voluntarily-captive live and televised audiences?

Did he not pretend to be a mystical letter-contents-disclosing guru (Carnac the Magnificent)....

Deuteronomy 18:10 There shall not be found among you any one who burns his son or his daughter as an offering, any one who practices divination, a soothsayer, or an augur, or a sorcerer

.....and transgendered himself into a sassy old woman (Lovable Old Aunt Em)?

Deuteronomy 22:5 A woman shall not wear anything that pertains to a man, nor shall a man put on a woman's garment; for whoever does these things is an abomination to the LORD your God.

Titus 2:3 Tell the older women likewise to be reverent in behavior, to not be slanderers nor slaves to drink; they are to teach what is good. parade many a bikini-clad woman on stage for everyone to get sexually aroused by for further and non-disclosed porno or prostitutional pursuits later on?

Ezekiel 14:3 "Son of man, these persns have taken their idols into their hearts, and set the stumbling block of their iniquity before their faces; should I let myself be inquired of at all by them?
Ezekiel 14:4 Therefore speak to them, and say to them: Thus says the Lord GOD: 'Anyone of the house of Israel/America who takes their idols into their heart and sets the stumbling block of their iniquity before their face, and yet comes to the prophet, I the LORD will answer them myself because of their many idols,
Ezekiel 14:7 Any one of the house of Israel/America, or of the strangers who travel in Israel/America, who separates themself from me, taking their idols into their heart and putting the stumbling block of their iniquity before their face, and yet comes to a prophet to inquire for themself of me, I the LORD will answer them myself;
Ezekiel 44:12 Because they ministered to them with their idols and became a stumbling block of iniquity to the house of Israel/America, therefore I have sworn concerning (and not "regarding") them," says the Lord GOD, "that they shall bear their punishment.'"

Romans 14:13 Then let us no more pass judgment on one another, but rather decide never to put a stumbling block or hindrance in the way of a brother.

The King of Levity and Jest certainly was far from the serious, sober, and sombre chants of monastic Russian orthodox priests obediently complying with:

Ecclesiastes 7:4 The heart of the wise is in the house of mourning; but the heart of fools is in the house of mirth.

Ephesians 5:4 Have there be no filthiness, nor silly talk, nor levity, which are not fitting; but instead let there be thanksgiving.

First Timothy 3:8 Deacons likewise must be serious, not double-tongued, not addicted to much wine, not greedy for in;

Titus 2:2 Tell the older guys to be temperate, serious, sensible, sound in faith, in love, and in continuity.

First Peter 4:7 The end of all things is at hand; therefore keep sane and sober for your prayers.

Don't get me wrong. Certainly there is a time and place for laughter, sometimes about what really is very NON-funny, such as the following snippets from the internet on 7/21/2016 of speeches said by various persons at the 2016 GOP National Convention in Cleveland:

First, a quote from Huffington Post:

Peter Thiel on Thursday became the first openly gay Republican convention speaker in history to talk about his sexual orientation, and said he disagreed with portions of his party's platform that restrict "rights" for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender individuals.

"I am proud to be gay. I am proud to be a Republican. But most of all I am proud to be an American," said the Silicon Valley billionaire, who co-founded PayPal.

Rachel Hoff, a D.C. delegate and the first openly gay member of the platform committee, said she thought Thiel's speech was great.

I'm a christian," said Denise McNamara, "but everyone is a sinner. So I don't think we can condemn people because all of us are sinners. You have to hate the sin and love the sinner."

[NOTE: Is everyone a "sinner" - including Jesus Christ? Does it matter what deceived and deceiving inferior-gender Denise (read First Timothy 2:11-14 and First Peter 3:7) "thinks?"
Is she not guilty of committing fraudulent misrepresentation by using the word "we" when she should instead have used the word "I?"
Is it logical that absence of condemnation for sin is to be based on her presumption that all of "us" are sinners, and why would that be grounds for guilt-for-sin-eradicating absolution?
Does she not engage in fraudulent misrepresentation, or speaking without authorization for others (like Satan in the Garden of Eden presumably speaking for God) when they have not given her such authorization to speak for them when she commands us (not merely herself) to "love the sinner" while Scripture orders us to hate both the sin AND the sinner (see Psalm 119:113, 139:21 & 22, Luke 16:13, Romans 16:17), and realize that the abstraction of sin will not burn in Hell forever but instead persons, people, individuals who commit and not perform sins?]

Next, from the Final Acceptance Speech of Donald J Trump on Thursday, 7/21/2016:

"Only weeks ago, in Orlando, Florida, 49 wonderful Americans were savagely murdered by an Islamic terrorist. This time, the terrorist targeted LGBTQ community.

No good. And we're going to stop it.

As your president, I will do everything in my power to protect our LGBTQ citizens from the violence and oppression of a hateful foreign ideology.

Believe me.

And I have to say as a Republican, it is so nice to hear you cheering for what I just said.

Thank you."

As I stated, such statements of the diabolically aberrant call for Divine laughter:

Psalm 2:4 He who sits in the heavens laughs; the LORD has them in derision.
Psalm 37:13 ...but the LORD laughs at the wicked, because He sees that their Day is coming.

Psalm 52:6 The righteous shall see, and fear, and shall laugh at them, saying:
Psalm 52:7 "See those who would not make God their refuge, but trusted in the abundance of their riches, and took refuge in their wealth!"

Psalm 59:8 But you, LORD, do laugh at them; you do hold all the nations in derision.

Proverbs 1:26 I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when panic strikes you...

Proverbs 14:13 Even in laughter the heart is sad, and the end of joy is grief.

Ecclesiastes 2:2 I said of laughter: "It is insane," and of pleasure: "What use is it?"
Ecclesiastes 7:3 Sorrow is better than laughter, for by sadness of countenance the heart is made glad.
Ecclesiastes 7:6 For as the crackling of thorns under a pot, so is the laughter of the fools; this also is vanity.

Luke 6:21 Blessed are you that hunger now, for you shall be satisfied. Blessed are you that weep now, for you shall laugh.
Luke 6:25 Woe to you that are full now, for you shall hunger. Woe to you that laugh now, for you shall mourn and weep.

James 4:9 Be wretched and mourn and weep. Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to dejection.

Sometimes serious and sombre Christians are chided by pseudo-"christian" heretics and apostates to "Lighten up" and "Don't take things so seriously" and "Laugh a little. Did you recently come from some funeral or morgue?"

As can readily be perceived by contemplating the Scripture verses previously, laughing AT someone (as, for example, the deliberately careless, "accidental" or silly shenanigans of Laurel and Hardy or the Three Stooges) is quite different than laughing WITH them, in that such laughter involves (sometime well-deserved) RIDICULE against and not for STUPIDITY.

Proverbs 11:12 He who belittles his neighbor lacks sense, but a man of understanding remains silent.

Proverbs 24:17 Do not rejoice when your enemy falls, and let not your heart be glad when he stumbles;
Proverbs 24:18 so that the LORD see it, and be displeased, and turn away His anger from him.

Matthew 7:12 So whatever you wish that men would do to you, do so to them; for this is the law and the prophets.
Luke 6:31 And as you wish that men would do to you, do so to them.

Now we get to Alfred Hitchcock and Rod Serling - masters at inciting fear, apprehension, and causing both fright and horror.

Their problem was essentially the same as some goofy-fool college and university professors who claim that nothing is real but merely an illusion that "we" imagine (they should only speak for themselves and not fraudulently misrepresent others).

Mistrust against the reality and perfectly-consistent stability of physical entities which the Creator (i.e. Son of God) created and maintains is the worst and most insidious type of apostasy.

That was especially true in the case of Rod Serling of "Twilight Zone" notoriety.

Rod was the type of individual who himself hypocritically and deceptively used the very real and consistent means of Hollywood special effects technology to vainly try to discover the even the slightest inconsistency of immutably-stable entities the Creator has created and maintains 24/7.

The disobediently hypocritical wasted effort and labor of using reality to try to disprove or question reality is alluded to in the following Scriptural quote:

Romans 1:18 The wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all godlessness and wickedness of humans who by their wickedness suppress the truth.
19 For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them.
20 Ever since the creation of the world his invisible nature, specifically, His eternal power and deity, has been clearly perceived in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse;
21 for although they knew God they did not honor Him as God nor give thanks to Him, but they became futile in their thinking and their senseless minds were darkened.
22 Claiming to be wise, they became fools,
23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal humanoids or birds or animals or reptiles.

Serling was a deplorable classic case of one:

Second Timothy 3:7 ....who will listen to anybody and can never arrive at a knowledge of the truth.

In his ridiculous quest to try to distort and interrupt the consistent characteristics of created entities and processes, Serling - without ever initially possessing any shred of evidence for proceeding with his deviant quest nor continuing without any bit of tangible-evidence proof.....nor ever actually finding any evidence or proof....did his damndest to instill doubt in his audience against a basic obedient-to-admit-to-created-reality principle contained in this Biblical premise:

Ecclesiastes 11:3 If the clouds are full of rain, they empty themselves on the earth; and if a tree falls to the south or to the north, in the place where the tree falls, there it will lie.

The actual existence and presence of created entities we human can and should perceive with our five senses operating with our eyes, ears, nose, tongue, and tactile sensors in connection to and cooperation with our brains must be forthrightly acknowledge and obediently accommodated to for survival and non-extinction:

FIrst John 2:27 ...but the anointing which you received from him resides within you, and you have no need that any one should teach you; as His anointing teaches you about everything, and is true, and is no lie, just as it has taught you, stay in Him.

The Ultimate Truth is the Word of God, both written and in the revealed person of the Creator manifested through His Holy Spirit:

John 14:6 Jesus said to him: "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but by me.

16:13 When the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all the truth, because He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak, and He will disclose to you things that are to come.

17:17 Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth.

18:37 Pilate said to Him: "So you are a king?" Jesus answered: "You say that I am a king. For this I was born, and for this I have come into the world, to bear witness to the truth. Every one who is of the truth hears my voice."

John 19:35 He who saw it has borne witness, His testimony is true, and He knows that He tells the truth, that you also may believe.

Romans 9:1 I am speaking the truth in Christ, I am not lying; my conscience bears me witness in the Holy Spirit...

Second Corinthians 4:2 We have renounced disgraceful, underhanded ways; we refuse to practice cunning or to tamper with God's word, but by the open statement of the truth we would commend ourselves to every person's conscience in the sight of God.

Galatians 4:16 Have I then become your enemy by telling you the truth?
Galatians 5:7 You were running well; who hindered you from obeying the truth?

Ephesians 4:15 Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into Him who is the head, into Christ,
4:21 assuming that you have heard about Him and were taught in Him, as the truth is in Jesus.
4:25 Therefore, putting away falsehood, let every one speak the truth with his neighbor, because we are members one of another.

Second Thessalonians 2:9 The coming of the lawless one by the activity of Satan will be with all power and with pretended signs and wonders,
10 and with all wicked deception for those who are to perish, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved.
11 Therefore God sends upon them a strong delusion, to make them believe what is false,
12 so that all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
13 But we are bound to give thanks to God always for you, brethren beloved by the Lord, because God chose you from the beginning to be saved, through sanctification by the Spirit and belief in the truth.
14 To this He called you through our gospel, so that you may obtain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
15 So then, friends, stand firm and hold to the traditions which you were taught by us, either by word of mouth or by letter.

To deny the physical existence of created entities, and their impeccably-consistent characteristics and properties is in fact not merely dangerous but ultimately lethal.

IS there an alternate universe, or alternate reality we humans are not aware of, know nothing about, and therefore should be paralyzed with fear because of that supposed possibility? Is that a legitimate substitute for the REAL Creator, His REAL Bible, which speaks of HIS REVEALED TRUTH: Jesus Christ?

The only "alternate universe" or "alternate reality" is the supernatural which has clear description and parameters described with the Holy Bible (e.g. angels, demons, spirits, the Trinitarian God, cherubim, seraphim, Four Living Creatures, Twenty-Four Elders, etc.).

Let's take it from the beginning.

Have you ever claimed that you created everything around you before you were born that you were born into?

If you do make such a foolish claim (and you can, but clearly should NOT), what PROOF do you have? If you do not have ANY even tiny bit of proof, why waste time pursuing such a premise and trying to prove it? If there is nothing to start with in terms of proof, why the craving, desire, incentive to begin such a futile quest?

Does anyone else, particularly those preceding and older than you, have any shred of evidence that you created everything around you before you were born that you were born into?

If not, that is even MORE reason and cause to not embark on trying to prove a "I did it all before I was born into it" discovery search.

If others do not claim about themselves that they created everything around them that they were born into, that of course is irrelevant as to your initial quest of attempting to prove self-creation, and obviously can be disregarded and non-important.

So if YOU did not create what you were born into, and THEY did not create what they were born into, WHO DID create what both you and them were born into?

And what were the perfectly-consistent-and-reliable characteristics of what you were born into, as you recall? What were the perfectly-consistent-and-reliable characteristics of what others remember they also were born into? What are currently the perfectly-consistent-and-reliable characteristics of both you and them are now in which you both were born into?

WHO did THAT, being that it not merely "most likely" or "probably" was in fact WAS NOT you nor them who did it?

WHO was it, Rod Serling? WHO was it, Alfred Hitchcock? C'mon, speak up. Be honest. Do not "beat around the bush" nor "hem and haw." Don't be shy.

Exodus 4:11 Then the LORD said to him: "Who has made man's mouth? Who makes him dumb, or deaf, or seeing, or blind? Is it not I, the LORD?

Isaiah 41:4 Who has performed and done this, calling the generations from the beginning? I, the LORD, the first, and with the last; I am He.

44:24 Thus says the LORD, your Redeemer, who formed you from the womb: "I am the LORD, who made all things, who stretched out the heavens alone, who spread out the earth. Who was with me?
45:19 I did not speak in secret, in a land of darkness; I did not say to the offspring of Jacob: 'Seek me in chaos.' I the LORD speak the truth, I declare what is right.
45:21 Declare and present your case; let them take counsel together! Who told this long ago? Who declared it of old? Was it not I, the LORD? And there is no other god besides me, a righteous God and a Savior; there is none besides me.

Jeremiah 17:10 "I the LORD search the mind and try the heart, to give to every human according to their ways, according to the fruit of their doings."
Jeremiah 17:11 Like the partridge whicht gathers a brood which she did not hatch, so are they who gets riches but not by right; in the middle of their days they will leave them, and at their end they will be fools.

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 He was in the beginning with God;
3 all things were made through Him, and without Him was not anything made that was made.
4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of people.
5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
9 The true light that enlightens everyone was coming into the world.
10 He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, yet the world knew Him not.
11 He came to His own home, and His own people received him not.
12 But to all who received Him, who believed in His name, He gave power to become children of God;
13 who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of humans, but of God.
14 And the Word became flesh and lived among us, full of grace and truth; we have perceived His glory, glory of the only Son from the Father.
17 The Law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.
18 No one has ever seen God; the only Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, has made Him known.

Colossians 1:11 May you be strengthened with all power, according to His glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy,
12 giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in light.
13 He has delivered us from the dominion of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son,
14 in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
15 He is the image of the invisible God, the first-born of all creation;
16 in Him all things were created, in heaven and on Earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or authorities....all things were created through Him and for Him.
17 He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.

Hebrews 1:1 In many and various ways God spoke of old to our fathers by the prophets;
2 but in these last days He has spoken to us by His Son, whom He appointed the heir of all things, through whom also He created the world.
3 He reflects the glory of God and is the very essence of His nature, upholding the Universe by His word of power.
8 Of the Son [God] says: "Your throne, God, is forever, the righteous scepter is the scepter of your kingdom.
9 You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; therefore God, your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness beyond your comrades."
10 And: "You, Lord, did build the Earth in the beginning, and the heavens are the work of your hands;
11 they will perish, but you remain; they will all grow old like a garment,
12 like a mantle you will roll them up, and they will be changed. But you are the same, and your years will never end."
